Days 84 and 85- The Red Cross and Anticipation

The footage of the tsunami damage is hard to watch.  It is impossible to even begin to imagine what it must be like to live through it or to have lost a family member or to still love someone who has not been located or to have lost everything...

Stuff like this just makes you want to help, doesn't it?  I seriously contemplated joining the Peace Corps in college because it seemed like a good way to actually do something.  For now, the best I can do is to pray and to donate.  My donations for yesterday and today have been made to the Red Cross and earmarked to help victims of this most recent tsunami.

Tom and I have been working our buns off, and we have not been on a proper vacation since our honeymoon (that was almost four years ago, for those of you who are counting).  In just a few hours, that statistic will change.  The anticipation has been building for months- months!- and it has been at an all time high for the past few days.

It's been really fun to have something to look forward to like this.  We've been shopping and packing and packing and gathering and giddily giggling with excitement.  It's been so much fun simply preparing for this vacation that I just know actually experiencing the trip will surpass all our expectations.  I should be sleeping right now, but I may very well be too excited to accomplish that task.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!

Thank you, anticipation, you made my day.
