Day 124- Education Through Music and BBQ Chicken Pizza

Today marks the one year anniversary of the epic GLEE Madonna episode.  This has inspired me to get out the soundtrack I bought again and play it tomorrow.  I'm sure that it will be on repeat for the next few days... or weeks.  It's only right that I honor this important anniversary by making a donation to a charity that the Glee cast supports.

Here's what they're all about:

At ETM, we believe that every child deserves a well-rounded education: one that includes music. Unfortunately, many schools, especially those serving children in low-income communities, provide no music instruction or rely solely on short-term programs that do not serve every student. ETM created a comprehensive program that incorporates music into the education of every child, including those with special needs.

ETM forms long-term partnerships with inner-city elementary and middle schools that lack the resources to develop school-wide music programs. We ensure high-quality instruction by hiring qualified music teachers, providing ongoing training, and performing regular program assessments. We encourage classroom teachers and music teachers to collaborate so that music can reinforce learning and development in all areas. And we help schools embrace music as a core subject by involving all members of the school community.

Okay, okay.  I know it's a little ridiculous to have two food posts in a row, but I just can't help myself.  We have been trying all kinds of new recipes lately.  We're eating well!

Tonight I attempted to make my own BBQ chicken pizza.  I loooove the version they have at California Pizza Kitchen, and I was hoping that this one would turn out to be equally delicious.  Was it?  See for yourself.

We liked it.  It's always a happy night in this household when we can join the clean plate club. :)

Thank you, BBQ chicken pizza, you made my day.
