Ode to Movie Theater Popcorn (the real thing)

I never can decide which size
For my stomach is smaller than my eyes
You leave big grease spots on my pants
Yet I can't help but do a happy dance...
when you're around.

You are one of my favorite things to eat
Without you a movie would not be complete
Even when a film is oh so bad (or makes me feel all mad or sad)
With you I know fun will be had...
by all.

Sometimes you get stuck in my teeth
And that is not so nice
But then I just remind myself
I get to enjoy you twice!

No, you won't create world peace
Or cure disease or end a war
But you can make me happy
And that I'm thankful for!

Thank you, movie theater popcorn, you made my day.

Day 278- GLEE Premiere

GLEE Tuesdays are baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!! :) I've been excited for this day since the season finale.  It was International Peace Day today, and we were celebrating at school.  While my students wrote ideas about how they might spread peace in their worlds for their warm-up, we listened to the Glee recording of "Imagine."  Between that and our sensory details activity with popcorn, it was a fun day at school. What really topped the day off, of course, was a new epsiode of Glee.  Oh, Sue Sylvester, how I have missed you!!  One of the best parts was Sue's commercials for the new Glee project.  Were there any good quotes?  You bet your bottom there were! Day 167- Pitch in for Baseball and First Pool Day

What a difference a year makes!  Armando Galarraga technically (but not officially) pitched a perfect game for the Tigers last year.  He's currently playing for the Diamondbacks now and not even a Tiger anymore, but I'd still like to make a donation in honor of his (almost?) accomplishment last year. Pitch in for Baseball is a charity that focuses on kids.  The program lists four crucial goals on its website: • To support the growth of baseball in the U.S. and internationally. • To give kids equipment so they can get out, have fun and stay healthy. • To teach kids important lessons through baseball, like teamwork and sportsmanship. • To make friends across the world through America's pastime. Day 77- and Divine Intervention

Sigh... I was dreaming sweet Pottery Barn dreams on this day last year, thanks to that dang catalog coming in the mail.  My donation today was made to a place that helps others to dream those sweet design dreams. http://architectureforhumanity.org/ The tagline pretty much says it all.
