Day 132- Friendship Bracelet

"See this bracelet, Mrs. Ferri?"  She pointed to a colorful yarn bracelet on her wrist.  "If I made one of these for you, would you wear it and never take it off?

"Well, I do have to shower sometimes, so I can't promise that I wouldn't take it off.  I would definitely wear it, though."

She brought it in today.  She said she couldn't wait for tomorrow and wanted to make sure it was sized right.  As I tied the colorful blue, pink, and yellow creation around my wrist, she beamed with pride.

"Like it?"
"Love it!"

The goodbyes start tomorrow.  I'm probably going to cry, but I'm totally ok with that.  I am so incredibly lucky to have been a part of all of these lives, even if it was only for a short time. I have all kinds of fun things planned for the next two days, and I can't wait to spend the time enjoying my kids.

Thank you, friendship bracelet, you made my day.
